The medium is vine charcoal and chalk.

Birthday flower

I drew this flower for my sister as a birthday present. The flower is pencil outlined in marker, and the negative space is conte crayon. It now hangs proudly in her living room. :)

Conte crayon inverse exercise

This is an inverse image of a sphere drawn using conte crayon. The red/orange tones are the shadows and the blacks are the highlights.
